visualintel > AR, RAMADI, Iraq (March 8, 2005) Inside the Ar Ramadi General Hospital here, an Iraqi man has his fingerprint recorded while being entered into a database Marines use to locate insurgents. His name, photo and other personal information will also be entered. A system called the Biometric Automative Tools (BAT) enables Marines to upload and keep track of such information. Marines with Company A, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines joined Company G, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines in a raid on the hospital in search of weapons caches, insurgents and crimes against humanity. First Battalion, 5th Marines Human Exploitation Team, Information Operations, the 4th and 5th Civil Affairs Groups and more than 20 Iraqi Security Force Commandos also participated in the mission, which lasted more than four hours.
